Health insurance scheme to be launched on 15th Nov: CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today announced that the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana will be launched in the state from 15th November this year. The scheme will be implemented in the entire state from 28th December 2017, he said.

The CM said that all formalities and preparations must be completed to implement the health insurance scheme. �Around 57 lakh families covered under National Food Security Act will be benefited from this scheme. Poor people of the state won�t have to spend even a single penny on their treatment,� he said while reviewing the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana at Project Building.

Das said the health insurance scheme should be publicized properly throughout the state and all government hospitals should be enlisted on its panel. �Even renowned nursing homes of the state and well-known hospitals and nursing homes in the borderline areas of neighbouring states will be enlisted. Everything will be monitored through capable software to maintain transparency.

Rs. 50,000 has been provisioned for secondary care and Rs. 2 lakh for special care, Rs. 30,000 for senior citizens of additionally covered class. This whole system will be cashless. The beneficiaries will be provided a card also,� he said.
