Health camp held in Kasturba school

Jamshedpur: As many as 12 students of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School in Potka were found to be suffering from various skin ailments at a health checkup camp organized on the school campus on Wednesday. A total of 272 students were examined by the doctors. According to Dr Anand Kumar, who examined the students, the incidence of skin diseases was a cause of worry since the students stayed together at the hostel. Some skin diseases may also be contagious, he said, adding further that there was a need to spread health awareness among the students.
Dr Kumar said bathing in dirty pond water could also lead to skin ailments. He said many students were found to be suffering from tooth problem and anaemia.
