Jamshedpur: The people of Siddhesahwar Chapdi village at Jadugoda are happy with the new mines project of Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) but are concerned of the water crisis that could follow. Already the tube wells have started drying up even before the advent of summer.

The mines project has seen boreholes being made covering approximately 450 meters. As such the water pressure in tube wells have reduced considerably. Even the reservoir water level has gone down.

The villagers have demanded that HCL erect a water tower in their locality to prevent drinking water crises at Siddheshwar Chapdi village.
