Ranchi, April 23: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday announced the Class 10 (Matric) examination results at around 3:00 PM, recording an impressive overall pass percentage of 95.27 percent this year. The results brought cheer to lakhs of students across the state, with four candidates jointly securing the top position in the merit list.

Priyanshu Kumari, a student of Indira Gandhi Balika High School in Hazaribagh, emerged as one of the state toppers by scoring 498 marks out of 500, achieving an outstanding 99.60 percent. She shares the top rank with three other students—Shivangi Kumari from S.S. High School Bano, Simdega, Prem Kumar Sahu from Premchand High School, Mesra, Ranchi and Sunny Kumar Verma of St. Aloysius High School, Ranchi—all of whom also scored 498 marks.

According to official data released by JAC, a total of 4,24,001 students had registered for the matriculation examination this year. Out of these, 4,22,109 students appeared for the exams, and 4,02,178 candidates were declared successful. The results indicate a strong performance by students across the state.

A detailed breakdown shows that 2,26,957 students secured First Division, reflecting high academic achievement. Meanwhile, 1,60,673 students passed in the Second Division, and 14,548 students were placed in the Third Division category.

Students can check their results online through the official websites—jacresults.com and jac.jharkhand.gov.in—by entering their Roll Code and Roll Number. The scorecards are also available on the DigiLocker platform. Officials clarified that the online results are provisional and meant for immediate information. The original mark sheets and pass certificates will be distributed later through respective schools.

Soon after the results were announced, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated the students, parents, and teachers. In a message shared on social media platform X, he extended his best wishes and encouraged students who could not meet their expectations not to lose hope. He urged them to continue working hard and assured that the state government is committed to improving the quality of education.

The Council has also made arrangements to send original certificates to schools, from where students can collect them for admission to higher secondary classes. Authorities ensured smooth technical operations during the result declaration to avoid inconvenience due to heavy traffic on websites.

With a high success rate and multiple toppers, this year’s JAC Class 10 results highlight the growing academic performance of students in Jharkhand.
