Ranchi, July 10: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Khasmahal employee Ohdar Tirkey red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 4000.
He was arrested on Wednesday from the divisional office at Hazaribagh. At present, the DSP is interrogating that employee.
According to the information, the arrested person is working as a revenue employee. He was taking a bribe from Arjun Prasad Mehta, a resident of Dariya village of Hazaribagh district Ichak, in the name of issuing LPC of land.
Actually, on June 28, Arjun Prasad Mehta had complained about the bribe being demanded for making LPC in Hazaribagh divisional office. In which it was said that in the name of issuing LPC, revenue employee Ohdar Tirkey of Sadar Zone Hurhuru Halka 2 had demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000
The victim Arjun Prasad Mehta was unable to give Rs 15,000. He pleaded a lot with the revenue employee and the deal was finalized between the two to issue LPC for Rs 10,000.
ACB received a complaint about this and as soon as the complaint was received, ACB came into action. ACB formed a trap team for this. The victim Arjun Prasad Mehta went to give Rs 4000 to the revenue employee. As soon as Arjun handed over the Rs 4000 to the revenue employee, the ACB team reached there and arrested him. When the revenue employee’s hands were washed with water, the colour of the water turned red.
