Jharkhand: ED team reaches Kanke village in land scam probe

Ranchi, July 10: Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Jharkhand has intensified action in illegal land occupation case.

ED team reached Chama village in Kanke, Ranchi on Wednesday to investigate the case related to land dealer Kamlesh Kumar. Actually, the investigating agency had received information that Kamlesh Singh had forcibly occupied the land of many people. Recently, ED had raided his hideouts and recovered Rs 1 crore cash and 100 cartridges.

Land dealer Kamlesh Kumar has been absconding for a long time. On June 21, the team of  ED raided his residence in Kanke. After this, he was also called for questioning by sending a summons but he did not come. However, in the meantime, rumours spread that he went to Kolkata and from there, he went to Bangkok.

Kamlesh Kumar, who turned from a journalist to a land dealer, had already suspected a raid on his residence. This is the reason why he sent his wife to a relative outside Ranchi. People around him say that he lives his life in style. He used to try every trick to capture whatever land he saw while coming and going.

It has been learnt about Kamlesh Kumar that for the last six months, he used to move around with two personal bodyguards. His bodyguards were armed. Within three years, he started playing a big game of land in Kanke and Nagdi area.
