Ranchi: Former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Arjun Munda today demanded that the two state ministers Haji Hussain Ansari and Suresh Paswan should resign from their posts after their names surfaced in police probe into the shooter Tara Shahdeo case.
He said the CM should remove the ministers from their posts in case they refuse to resign on moral grounds.
Addressing a press conference at the state party headquarters, Munda said it was a sensitive case and hence the state ministers should be removed to ensure a fair probe into the case.
He said the BJP demanded immediate removal of the ministers since the High Court had removed the registrar, vigilance, Mohammad Mushtaq Ahmad.
Earlier the CM had removed two ministers from the state Cabinet when they had pointed fingers on his government. Now it is time that the CM again removes the ministers, he said.
Munda further said that a probe should be conducted into the Dhoti-Sari scheme and the purchase of mosquito nets by the state government.
He was accompanied by former MLA Saryu Roy and state BJP spokesperson Pradip Sinha on the occasion.
