Guru Purnima Mahotsav begins with cultural programme

Jamshedpur, July 29: Guru Purnima Mahotsav kicked off with Cultural programme at Rabindra Bhawan on Wednesday.

The annual event of socio-religious organization Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha is celebrating age old bond in the Jamshedpur since a very long time.

About 2,000 members of the sangha � which organises the festival � along with hundreds of outstation members have arrived in the Steel City. Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha is a religious outfit founded by Srimad Brahmananda Shastri, the former head priest of Beldih Kalibari.

The day on Wednesday, July 29 began with the flag hoisting ceremony followed by hymns, spiritual discourses followed by cultural programme were Drama on �Leeladhar Srikrishna� was presented by Mumbai/ Nashik Branch at Rabinda Bhawan followed by drama on �Mahaprayan� by Cuttack team also at the same venue.

At 7.30 in the evening Drama on �Neel Saraswati� was presented by Varanasi team at Rabinda Bhawan. Kripabindu Bhattacharjee, president of the sangha said devotees from different branches � Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Indore, Raipur, Varanasi, Muzaffarpur Cuttack, Puri and Ranchi have arrived for the three day festival. On July 30 and 31 another packed day is in store for the drama lovers were cultural program will be put up.
