Jamshedpur, Nov. 12 : Ground breaking of the country 24th Centre of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayta Samiti (BMVSS) will be held on November 13 in the premises of Sadar Hospital.
The centre having requisite 2000 sq.ft. of space will have a laboratory to make out artificial limbs so that Divyang coming for help are immediately taken care and will be provided artificial limbs, tricycles, wheel chairs, callipers, hearing aids as per the need that too free.
All screening by experts will also be done without any charge followed by the ground breaking ceremony. Press Meet will be held at Chambers Bhawan to be addressed by Ranchi based Lalit Kedia, Chairman of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayta Samiti, Jharkhand.
Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayta Samiti (BMVSS) is the world�s largest organisation for the handicapped. It has 23 branches all over India and till date has served over 1.7 million beneficiaries. In Jharkhand, it opened its branch in September 2017 at Niramaya Hospital, Kokar, Ranchi in collaboration with Lions Clubs International.
As per the statistics provided by State Government more than three lakhs people are suffering from various locomotive problems in Jharkhand and for years are leading a confined life. To reach out to these people and to make these Divyang come into the mainstream of the Society, BMVSS decided to open another centre in Jharkhand and Jamshedpur seeing the need was identified. It will be the 24th Centre to become operational in India.
Ministry of Health, Government of Jharkhand has granted necessary permission for the noble cause and on his directive Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum has constituted a committee to run and monitor the functioning of the BMVSS Jamshedpur Branch.
