Jamshedpur, Jan 2: Elaborate preparations have been completed by the Gurudwara Management Committee, Sakchi, for the grand welcome of the Nagar Kirtan to be taken out on Sunday, January 4, in connection with the 359th Prakash Parv of the tenth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Nagar Kirtan, carrying the sacred Palki Sahib of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, will pass through the city spreading devotion and spiritual fervour before culminating at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib amid a majestic reception.

An informal review meeting of the management committee was held on Friday under the leadership of Committee President Sardar Nishan Singh. Several senior members attended the meeting and took stock of the arrangements. Addressing the Sikh sangat, Sardar Nishan Singh appealed for large participation, stating that once again a divine and historic welcome of the Palki Sahib would be witnessed in Sakchi. He said flower showers would be offered from the Deori Sahib, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere, followed by a grand fireworks display after the concluding Ardas.

The entire Gurdwara premises have been beautifully decorated with attractive lighting, floral garlands, religious symbols and Khalsa insignia, presenting a divine spectacle, especially at night. Committee member Sardar Parmjeet Singh Kale said the lighting work had already been completed and would remain a major attraction, along with flower showers and fireworks. He added that members of the Akali Dal, who recently visited the Gurdwara, praised the arrangements made during the Prakash Utsav on December 27 and commended the management committee for its exemplary efforts.
