Jamshedpur, April 8: The Hindu New Year was celebrated with great enthusiasm as a grand Shobha Yatra was organized by various Hindu organizations across the city.

The processions commenced from multiple locations including Dimna Subhash Maidan, Mango Gandhi Maidan, Telco Ram Mandir, Jugsalai Ram Tekri Road, and Agrico and converged at Ambagan Maidan late in the evening.

The event was marked by spirited participation, particularly the youth, who enthusiastically waved saffron flags and chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram.’

The administration had made thorough arrangements, including barricading at designated spots to ensure minimal inconvenience to the public.

The procession commenced from Dimna in the afternoon, with the roundabout and surrounding area adorned with saffron flags Chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ resonated throughout the area.

Former DIG Rajiv Ranjan Singh and representatives from various organizations participated in the procession. Administrative officials, including DSP Bhola Prasad, Traffic DSP Sanjay Kumar Singh, and SDO Parul Singh, reviewed law and order arrangements, urging participants to adhere to norms and guidelines set by the administration.

Shobha Yatras (processions) from different areas converged at Mango and proceeded towards the Swarnrekha Bridge, and later assembled at Sakchi Ambagan.

DC-SSP supervise Hindu New Year procession, administration on alert
Jamshedpur, April 8: District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal were stationed at the District Control Room in Sakchi to supervise the procession held in the city on the occasion of Hindu New Year. Senior officials closely monitored the procession via CCTV cameras positioned at key intersections, issuing necessary directives to both, magistrates and police personnel.

Adequate number of magistrates, police officers, and law enforcement personnel were deployed to ensure peaceful conclusion of the procession and to mitigate traffic disruptions. Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and PD ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary were also present to monitor the proceedings.
