Grand celebration planned for Rajasthan Foundation Day in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 10: The princely states of Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner were merged to form the Union Territory of Rajasthan Sangh on March 30, 1949. Later it became a full fledged state.

The Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwadi Sammelan (PSZMS) has decided to celebrate the Rajasthan Foundation Day on March 30 in a grand manner at the Dhalbhum Club. The committee decided to project the vibrant culture and heritage of Rajasthan through songs and dances to be performed by popular artistes from that state, said PSZMS president Umesh Shah.

Addressing a press meet on Wednesday, Umesh Shah informed that Gangour decorating contest will also be held were women of the society have been invited. The top three winners will be awarded along with all the participants. Interested participants must contact  Rani Agarwal (9708557661), Mamta Murarka (9430739213), Anju Chetani (7992268813) and Sushila Khirwal (9431952424).

The Marwadi women of the district too will participate in the cultural programs. A competition for decorating �Gangour� will also be conducted for them. More than 2,000 people of the Marwadi community in the district are expected to attend the Foundation Day celebrations at Dhalbhum Club in Sakchi, added Shah.

Also present at the press meet were Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwadi Sammelan (PSZMS) state president Nirmal Kabra, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Ashok Bhalotia, district general secretary Ashok Modi, treasurer Rajkumar Sanghi, Bajrang Lal Agarwal, Deepak Parikh, Naresh Modi, Omprakash Ringasia, Rani Agarwal, Sushila Khirwal, Pankaj Chavcharia, Arun Gupta, Rajesh Ringasia, Prakash Sharma, Mahaveer Agarwal, Shambu Khanna, Bajrang Agarwal and others.
