Grand Celebration of Loyola Feast Day at Xavier School

Gamharia, July 31: Loyola Feast Day, dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, was observed at Xavier School, Gamharia. On this occasion, the students of the school presented a cultural program in remembrance of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, who was the founder of the Society of Jesus. Every year, Loyola Day is observed on July 31 in his honor. Rev Fr Somi Mathew from XLRI was present at the event as the chief guest. Addressing the students, he emphasized that the Society of Jesus aimed to provide quality education to children and strove to excel in all other activities while nurturing good citizens for society. He reaffirmed the commitment to prepare socially responsible citizens. Fr Francis and Fr Mukti from XITE College were also present on this occasion. The Principal of the school, Fr Sebastian, also shared insights about Saint Ignatius of Loyola with the students and encouraged them to follow his example in serving the underprivileged and oppressed sections of society. The Vice-Principal, Fr Dayanidhi, Sister Reshmi, Sister Archana, Administrator Brother Amalraj, and Prabhat Mishra, along with other teachers, were also present at the event.
