Jamshedpur, Feb 21: The grade revision agreement for employees of Meharbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH), in collaboration with Tata Steel, was finalized on Wednesday. As per the terms of the agreement, employees stand to gain a maximum of Rs 10,000 and a minimum of Rs 8,000 per month. This agreement is effective for five years, spanning from January 1, 2021, to February 21, 2024, benefiting a total of 70 employees.
In March, employees will receive arrears, with a maximum of Rs 2.50 lakh and a minimum of Rs 2.10 lakh. The signing parties for the agreement included MTMH Chairman Dr. RN Sharma, Union President Rakeshwar Pandey, Director Dr. Sujata Mitra, Honorary Secretary Nishit Kumar Sinha, and Honorary Treasurer Nisha Kumari. Union representatives General Secretary BK Dinda, Secretary P Girishwar, and Committee Member Asif Imran also participated in the agreement.
Additionally, the agreement includes a provision for providing loans up to Rs 2 lakh for the higher education of employees’ children. Time-bound promotions for employees are part of the agreement. Moreover, employees with 20 years of service will receive an additional benefit of Rs 15,000 in March 2024, those with 25 years of service will get an extra Rs 20,000, and those serving for 30 years in a permanent position will receive an additional benefit of Rs 30,000.
