Govt working to reduce gap between people and admin: CM

Chaibasa: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that his government was working to reduce the gap between the people and the administration.

Addressing the ‘Sarkar Apke Dwar’ (Government at your door) programme at Hudgada village of Bandgaon block of Chaibasa.

�This programme has been launched by the state government to end the role of middlemen and prevent the exploitation of the people.

Now the panchayat volunteers would be visiting the villages for getting the caste and residential certificates, distributing of LED bulbs, distribution of slips for building toilets and other works,� the CM said, adding that the work would be taken up as a special campaign from August to October.

On the occasion, the CM made sure that the girls filled up the caste certificate, residential and income certificate forms.

He extended greetings to the people for Raksha Bandhan. He said the festival depicted love and was an example of social harmony which was a salient feature of the Indian culture
.
He said the state government had taken a pledge to eradicate poverty from the state and said that he has taken a pledge to bring changes in the lives of the people.

The CM asked the state officials concerned to ensure that the schemes are framed for the poor and the benefits reach to them a Panchayati Raj self government council would be formed and within a week, block and district

coordinators would be appointed in 18 blocks of the state.

Das said the block coordinators would look after the schemes for the block while the district coordinator would do the same for the districts.
He said the government has the list of the landless, homeless and the widows and on the basis of the survey facilities to such people would be provided on priority.

All the widows would get pension and the villagers need not run to block offices for their various works as their work would be done from home, he said.
