Bike-borne shooters open fire on youth at Mango, gangwar suspected

Jamshedpur: Three motorcycle-borne youths reportedly opened fire on one Sunil Thakur at Road Number 2, Baikunthnagar, Mango, Sunday evening.

The victim however suffered no injury in the incident. They opened fire on the victim when the latter was driving his bike and passing near the Shiva Mandir, sources said.

Police suspect the incident to be the result of a gangwar between two group of criminals in Mango.
Sources said the bullet missed its target.

Thakur left his bike on the road and ran into a nearby house. The assailants fired another round on the house and escaped from the scene.

Cops said the victim had identified the assailants as Raja Singh, Rahul Singh and Munna Singh.

They said the incident seemed to be in retaliation to a similar firing on the house of Rahul Singh. Thakur�s brother Amarnath had allegedly fired on Raja and Rahul.

A complaint was also lodged against Amarnath in this connection with the Mango PS.
Irked over the incident, local residents put up protest in Mango and demanded police action against the culprits.

They said one Dabbu Dikshit was already killed in Mango. They said criminal activities were on the rise in Mango.
