Ranchi, June 23: Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt met Chief Minister Raghubar Das at Project Building on Thursday.
During their meeting the CM said that his government is serious about establishment of a School of Drama in the state and aims to make Jharkhand the hub of eastern region.
Since the state abounds in natural beauty, there are ample locations/ scenes for film shooting which will create jobs for local people. The govt. is serious about film making and will help in all respects in film making as per the film policy.
The veteran filmmaker praised the state�s film policy open heartedly and called it a giant leap, which will yield positive result. Major filmmakers will flock to Jharkhand as the filmmakers of Bollywood appreciate the film policy of the state.
Bhatt said that people opined that law and order situation in the state is not good but he did not encounter any trouble during shooting of Begum Jaan. This film casts veteran actors like Nasiruddin Khan and Vidya Balan and 90 percent of the movie is being shot in the state.

Principal secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar suggested Bhatt to visit Macluskiganj and Patratu as they will prove to be nice filming locations.
