Jamshedpur: State government has given approval to a proposal for the construction of two roads having a total length of RS 58 km in the extremism-affected Dhalbhumgarh and Gudabandha blocks. It would spend Rs 105 crore on the project to build a 25 km long road from Dhalbhumgarh to Guda picket through Hariyan-Jian and another 33 km road from Dumaria forest dak bungalow to Layalam Valley near Jharkhand-Odisha borders via Khairbani, Harina and Kovali.
The MP of Jamshedpur, Bidyut Baran Mahato, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday after the project got the state government�s approval. He said he had met the CM and the Secretary of Road Construction Department, Government of Jharkhand, several times in connection with the proposal. He was speaking after attending a meeting on forests in Ranchi. The meeting was chaired by the CM. He also demanded early completion of five main roads in Jamshedpur Loksabha constituency.
