Seraikela, Feb: State Minister Champai Soren inaugurated Rojgar Mela 2023 organized at Seraikela-Kharsawan District Employment Exchange Cum Model Career Centre on Saturday. He was present as the chief guest on this occasion. Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagrai was present as the special guest along with Zila Parishad Sonaram Bodra.

In his address, Soren said the purpose of the job fair was to provide employment to local youths. He said the state government was committed to provide jobs to the youths of the state on a priority basis. He appealed to youths visiting the fair to go to various stalls and explore job opportunities suiting their abilities and talent. He said the government gave top priority to the locally domiciled people.

Also present on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal said all local private institutions were earlier apprised of the state government’s employment policy rules as per which local unemployed youths should be given priority in fulfilling all vacancies. There were a total of 25 stall in the fair. Altogether 2100 youths were registered till 4 pm out of whom 1118 were shortlisted and 118 were finally selected from amongst them. Soren gave appointment letters to all selected candidates, sources said.
