Govind Vidyalaya: Students display their calligraphy talent

Jamshedpur, April 27: Govind Vidyalaya organized kid�s day, calligraphy and slogan writing competition at the school premises on Saturday. �Kid�s Day� was celebrated in the Primary School premises. The initiative was taken to welcome the parents of Nursery along with their wards. A cultural show was hosted by the primary wing students to mark the day.

The little children presented a welcome song, a dance recital, a tabloid on unity in diversity reflecting the importance of parents followed by a choral recitation in praise of God.

The function was graced by the Managing Director of the school B.D. Sharma who thanked the parents for their overwhelming support and cooperation. The entire show was hosted by little anchors Ayush Das and Alisha Shaker under the guidance of Mrs. Swapna Shome and her team.

Calligraphy competition was for the students of Class VI to VIII.
Slogan writing competition was for Class IX to XII. The topic for the slogan was �Environment�.

The competitions were successfully organized by Mrs. Naushad Razia & Mrs. Rashmi Singh in the presence of Principal Dr. Sunita Sinha, Vice Principal Miss Krishna Modak, Molly Majumdar and teachers.

The competition was adjudged by Vice Principal Miss Krishna Modak, Teacher Mr. Arvind Chakraborty & Mr. Rakesh Rai.
The winners of the Slogan writing competition were Manisha Rawat (XIIC), Gazala Perween (XII C), Kanchan Kumari(XII C) and Subiya Rahman (XII C) who stood first.

Sakib Ansari (X C) and Md. Arshad Iqbal (XC) were second while Kapil Singh (X C), Ishtiyaque Ahmad (X C), Pragya Pratap Singh (IX C) and Aisha Bano (IX C) were third. In Calligraphy Onkar Simran (VII B) was first, Sukhmani Simran (VIII C) was second while Afreen Khanam (VIII C) and Saltanat Ara (VII A) was third.
