Jamshedpur: Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia, celebrated its 44th Annual Awards Ceremony for the academic session 2024–2025 with great enthusiasm and colorful performances at the school campus on Saturday. The event featured captivating songs, dances and skits presented by students, which enthralled the audience, parents and guests throughout the evening.
The ceremony was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by chief guests Matinul Haque Ansari (Chairman, Manav Kalyan Trust), Rajiv Ranjan and Sushil Kumar Singh (Petty Officers, Indian Navy), Harendra Singh (Mukhiya Representative), Dr. Hasan and Dr. Samina Ali (Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Jamshedpur), Shakir Azimabadi (Editor, Urdu Newspaper, Jamshedpur), Mukhtar Alam Khan (Secretary, Manav Kalyan Trust), social workers Sheikh Badruddin and Nuruzzaman Khan, along with Ranjit Kumar Singh (OIC, TOP Police Station), School Director Dr. B.D. Sharma, Secretary Abhishek Sharma and Principal Krishna Modak.
Awards were distributed to students who excelled academically in the 2024–25 session. The “Best Student” awards went to Samia Afreen from Class V (Junior Section) and Jyoti Gorai (Senior Section). Awards for 100% attendance and best overall performance were given to Gudiya Kumari and Meero Tudu, respectively. Students who ranked in the top 10 in the Class 12 board examinations were also felicitated. Seven students scoring full marks in their respective subjects received the B.D. Sharma Star Award, comprising 10 grams of pure silver coins and certificates.

Addressing the gathering, guest Nuruzzaman Khan said, “I have had a long-standing association with Govind Vidyalaya and always wish for its continued success and growth.”
The annual report was presented by teacher Shikha Singh, while students Zakia Tasneem and Afia Naz delivered the welcome address and conducted the program. The vote of thanks was proposed by student Fatima Mustafa. The event concluded with appreciation for all teachers who contributed to the success of the program.
