Jamshedpur, Nov 10: In a daring afternoon robbery that has rattled the city, three armed criminals looted Rs 10 lakh from the office of PK Construction Company at Savitri Complex in Birsanagar on Monday.
The assailants, wearing helmets to conceal their identities, struck while company owner Pankaj Kumar Singh was counting cash for labour payments.
CCTV footage shows the trio entering the office, brandishing pistols and snatching the cash-filled bag.
Before fleeing the scene, the criminals fired shots in the air, spreading panic in the area.
A team led by the City DSP and Birsanagar police swiftly reached the spot and launched an investigation.
The seized CCTV footage is being examined to establish the identity of the suspects.
The incident has sparked tension among local residents and traders, who have expressed concern over increasing criminal activities and questioned the effectiveness of police patrolling.
Police officials, however, have assured that the culprits will be identified and apprehended at the earliest.
