Ranchi: Governor Syed Ahmed held a high-level meeting with department heads on the proposed Governor�s Meet to be held in New Delhi during February 11 and 12 under the chairmanship of President Pranab Mukherjee. The meeting held at Raj Bhavan discussed points to be raised in the oncoming meet in Delhi on issues of development in Jharkhand.
In the meeting present were principal secretary, Institutional Finance, Mridula Sinha, principal secretary, Rural Work Department, SK Sathpathy, principal secretary, rural development, NN Sinha, principal secretary, Cooperatives, Arun Kumar Singh, AP Singh from department of drinking water and sanitation, Rajiv Arun Ekka from department of welfare department, principal secretary to Governor, Nitin Madan Kulkarni and others.
The Governor at the meeting asked the departments to speed up development projects in areas falling under 5th Schedule to stem the problem of ultra activities.
He also directed the higher officers of the government departments to give more impetus to long-standing development projects and providing basic amenities including education, health services, roads etc. to people.
