Governor and CM pay tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda

Ranchi, Nov. 15: Jharkhand governor Draupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Raghubar Das paid tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda at his Samadhi Sthal on the occasion of the great martyr�s birth anniversary. The twin dignitaries later garlanded a statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Birsa Chowk.

In her address, the governor said that Jharkhand had started moving fast on the path of development. People should make their contributions in the process of development. Bhagwan Birsa sacrificed his life for the sake of nation. His village will be made model village in his memory, she said.

The CM said that Bhagwan Birsa fought against poverty and exploitation and sacrificed his life for the sake of culture and freedom. He said that the state will develop by following the path shown by him.
