Jamshedpur: Shyam Kala Bhawan will organize the 22nd Shyam Janm Mahotsav on November 19 at the Vivekanand Centre in Chandil. The chief guest on the occasion will be Jharkhand Governor, Droupadi Murmu who is scheduled to arrive at 5:30 pm on the day of the religious function.
Preparations for the Mahotsav are in full swing. The information was given by Shyam Kala Bhawan convener Rajesh Pasari today. He said that on the morning of November 19, a Nishan Yatra will be taken out by a procession of 1,111 women from Vivekanand Centre, Chandil. The procession will traverse through Chandil Bazaar and other routes before returning to the Vivekanand Centre after which, prasada would be distributed among the devotees.
Shyam Kala Bhawan president Sandip Sultania, secretary Ayush Pasari and treasurer Niraj Jalan, while detailing the events planned for Shyam Janm Mahotsav celebrations informed that popular Bhajan singers Raj Kumar Lakkhi from New Delhi, Surabhi Chaturvedi and Nishtha Agrawal from Jaipur and Arpita Kumari and Nutan Sharma from Kolkata would add to the devotional fervor.
They stated that devotees from Jamshedpur, Mosabani, Ghatshila, Dhalbhumgarh, Saraikela, Kandra, Sini, Balrampur, Purulia, Badabazaar, Rourkela and many other places participate in this Mahotsav every year.
Shri Shyam Janm Mahotsav is being organized since 1997 on Utthan Ekadashi every year by Shri Shyam Kala Bhawan.
