Government planning to regularize 86 bastis: Chief Secretary�Rajiv Gauba

Jamshedpur, June 29: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Monday said that government is working to regularize the 86 bastis (urban slums) on the lines of Delhi.

A copy of formula and related documents has been asked to bring it down from Delhi. Soon we will have talks with East Singhbhum DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal and will do further inquiries into the matter.

CS was talking to the mediapersons at Circuit House after he reached Jamshedpur late on Monday evening. Replying to query about land settlement survey which hasn�t been done in the last 40 years, Gauba said that the survey will be done and it�s on the priority list of the government.

The survey has not been done that to after the formation of Jharkhand and the revenue department is working on this, said CS adding that the government is holding talks with every DC�s of all the districts of the state and soon we have a positive result.

Talking about Chief Secretary�s central deputation, Gauba replied that a government servant can�t live where ever he wants, wherever the government he servant will have to stay there and work.

He clearly said that State government by any means wants the development of Jharkhand and this is the reason the guidelines of smart city has been released and according to that the city will be selected, said CS Gauba adding that if any situation the city doesn�t gets selected then through �AMRUT� development scheme the cities will be developed.

CS Rajiv Gauba reached Jamshedpur with his wife first visited Dimna Lake and came down to Circuit House. After taking rest, he also enjoyed his time at Centre for Excellence and Jubilee Park where he also saw the laser fountain.

CS was accompanied by DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal, City SP Chandan Jha, ADC Sunil Kumar, SDO Alok Kumar and others. On Tuesday CS Gauba might visit Tata Steel, Tata Motors and UCIL Mines.
