Ranchi, Jan. 21: Presiding over a meeting of administrative bodies at Project Building, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that skill is the demand of the nation as well as the present times.
�The youths of the state will be trained at high standard so that they remain relevant from job point of view at national and international level. They can also start their own business and employ others. He said that the government has targeted to train 20 lakh people,� said the CM.
Das said that training should be given sincerely and people living in rural areas can be connected with sericulture, gardening and lac production. �In the urban areas beauticians, mechanics, carpenters and plumbers should be prepared to meet the demands.
Special training should be given to cleaners to maintain the cleanliness of the urban areas. The officials concerned should conduct review meeting of administrative bodies at an interval of three months,� he said.
The CM said that the vacant buildings should be used as Mega Skill Centres. Vocational trainings should be given in schools, colleges and polytechnics. He directed JAC to sign agreement with NSDC for this.
He asked the officials concerned to open commercial vehicle training centres and directed DCs to provide land for the same. He also asked to establish Skill Training Institute for the trainers.
Education Minister Neera Yadav, CS Raj Bala Verma, Additional CS Amit Khare, Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar and Higher Education Minister Ajay Kumar Singh were present on this occasion.
