Jamshedpur, Oct 26: Govardhan Puja was celebrated with fervour across the city on Wednesday. Women and girls performed puja in the traditional way and prayed for the longevity of their brothers. Traditional folks songs were also sung on this occasion. Amar Peetha was prepared in households following age old tradition and fed to brothers for their long life. The festival is especially celebrated in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.
