Jamshedpur, July 24: Former state BJP president Dr Dineshanand Goswami met Jharkhand governor Droupadi Murmu at Raj Bhavan in Ranchi on Wednesday and raised the demand for opening a women�s collage in Baharagora. She said there was an urgent need for a women�s college in the area to cater to the educational need of local population. He said there are over 25 high schools in the block. But sadly, there are no colleges in the area, he said.
Goswami said the governor had assured to take up the issue with the higher education department and take steps to fill up vacancies in the various colleges of the state.
Others present during the meeting included Abhijeet Bag, Shyam Sunder Dey, Yadav Patra, Chandan Seet, Billu Manna, Rupak Mahato and Vishwajeet Rana.
