Gopeshwar Lal Das Memorial Inter Union Volleyball Tournament kick-off: Tata Workers Union Blue and Tata Steel Red register wins

Jamshedpur, Dec 19: Gopeshwar Lal Das Memorial Inter Union Volleyball Tournament was inaugurated today at the Tata Motors Volleyball Court, TML Sports Complex.

The first match of the day was played between Tisco Majdur Union and Tata Workers Union (blue). Tata Workers Union (Blue) emerged victorious by two straight sets of 25–05 and 25-05 in the best of three sets. 

 The second match of the day was played between Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union and Tata Steel Red. Tata Steel Red defeated Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union in two straight sets of 25–08 & 25-04. 

Earlier, Deepak Kumar, General Manager (ER, CSR and Skill Development), Tata Motors, was the chief guest during the opening ceremony.  

In the Union category, nine teams from Tata Group companies, namely-Tata Motors Workers Union-A, Tata Motors Workers Union-B, Tata Steel Red, Tata Steel Blue, Tata Power Workers Union, Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union, JUSCO Shramik Union, T.S.P.D.I. L Employees Union, and Tisco Majdur Union (TGS) are participating.

Manoj Singh, General Secretary of Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union,  Pintu Srivastava, General Secretary of Tata Power Workers Union, Aman Singh, General Secretary of TSPDIL Employees Union, Shrikant Singh, Vice President of ISWP Workers Union, Rakeshwar Pandey, INTUC President-Jharkhand,  Gurmeet Singh, President, and R K Singh, General Secretary of Tata Motors Workers Union, VN Singh, Head – Administration & Security, Tata Motors, Rajat Kumar Singh, Head-Town Administration & Sports, Tata Motors and other Senior Dignitary  graced the occasion.
