Golden Cards issued to two thousand beneficiaries

Jamshedpur: One of the biggest projects in the world, the Ayushman Scheme, ensures that all families affiliated to ration cards will be provided treatment amounting to Rs 5 lakh.

The chief minister’s representative Pawan Agrawal distributed Golden Cards to more than two thousand beneficiaries in the eastern Vidhan Sabha constituency.

Speaking on the occasion Agrawal informed that people enrolled in ration cards will be eligible for free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. He pointed out that under the scheme, all types of ailments are being treated which is proving to be a great boon to the society.

“Henceforth, none from the financially weak segment will die due to lack of money for proper medical treatment. People will no longer feel insecure due to paucity of financial resources,” he observed.

A camp was setup at a PDS centre in Birsanagar where the Golden Cards were distributed among two thousand beneficiaries. At Birsanagar, Lakshmi Nursing Home is catering to the medical requirements of Golden Card holders. Till date, more than 40 patients have been treated there.

It was informed that patients after treatment were being given medicines for a week.

Pawan Agrawal observed, “This is a strange but worthy coincidence that service and development are moving hand-in-hand under this ambitious scheme. BJP executives are extending a helping hand at hospitals featuring in the list of medical aid providers.”

He said that soon inspecting teams would visit hospitals and evaluate the progress of this scheme. He also stated that camps are being setup at various PDS centres to speed up the disbursement Golden Cards.

Apart from Birsanagar Golden Cards have already been distributed at Lalbhatta, Babudih, Kalyannagar, Nirmalnagar, Baridih and Sidgora.

Mandal president Sriram Prasad, Tejendra Singh, Jila secretary Pushpa Tirkey, Lakshmi Mirdha, Marketing officer Thakur, Ram Kumar Pandey, Jitendra Mishra, Anil Agrawal and others were present on the occasion.
