Jamshedpur, Aug 2: The tennis ball cricket tournament for girls commenced at Godgowda Maidan on NH-33 in Jamshedpur on Wednesday. Unfortunately, heavy rains disrupted the proceedings, and no matches could be completed. Ajay Das, a member of the organizing committee, shared that the objective of this tournament is to promote cricket among girls in rural and Mango areas. Ajay Das has been imparting cricket training to girls at Convent School for the past 13 years, and he mentioned that talented girls will be selected based on their performance in the tournament and will be offered free training. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on October 8.
