Jamshedpur, Oct. 25: Sports Department of Tata Steel is conducting the Inter Divisional Basketball Championship from 25th to 27th October 2016 at Basketball Court, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
This is the sixth events of Inter Divisional Championship of 2016 – 2017 season.
Nine units are participating in it out of 11 which includes West Bokaro, Shared Services, Iron Making, Long Product, Flat Product, General Offices, Mines Division, Noamundi, FAMD, Sukinda and TKLNR, Kalinganagar.
On day 1 of the championship(Group A)FAMD, Sukinda beat Long Products by 26 – 12 points while Shared Services beat Flat Products by 40 – 06 points.
In Group B-General Offices beat Iron Making by 43 – 12 points while West Bokaro beat TKLNR, Kalinganagar by 38 – 14 points. Several matches will also be played on 26th. Final and 3rd place matches will be played on 27th October from 3.00 PM and prize distribution will be held at 5.30 PM.
Ram Kumar, Md. Jamshed, Rakesh Mahato, Vikash Kumar, Ravi Rao, Surjeet were the officials and Officials Scorer Atul Kumar and Harjot Singh conducted the entire matches of the above championships.
