Jamshedpur, Nov 27: Geeta Theatre artistes, in collaboration with Cube Adityapur Waste Management, performed a street play, ‘Gaadi Wala Aaya, Ghar Se Kachra Nikaala’ to raise awareness about cleanliness under the Swachhta Abhiyan. The play emphasized on reducing household waste and promoting its reuse.

The performance highlighted the proper segregation of waste into blue and green dustbins—dry waste in blue bins and wet waste, such as vegetable peels and puja material, in green bins. Citizens were encouraged to dispose of waste responsibly using vehicles provided by Cube Adityapur Waste Management.

The play was staged in schools across Adityapur, Kapali, Mango, and Jugsalai, engaging students, teachers, and principals. A quiz on cleanliness was also conducted, with rewards given to students for correct answers by officials from Cube Adityapur Waste Management and the Municipal Corporation.

The event concluded with participants taking a cleanliness pledge. Artistes Anant Sardar, Divyanka Tiwari, Raja Rao, Shreya Chhatri, and Rahul Gandhi delivered impactful performances, while Geeta Theatre President Geeta Kumari acted as the narrator.

The occasion was attended by officials from Cube Adityapur Waste Management Private Limited and representatives from all four municipal corporations. (w/gsd)
