Jamshedpur, Nov 23: Geeta Theatre, a prominent cultural trust of the city, launched the poster for its upcoming one-day Acting Workshop on Sunday at Brubeck Café, Bistupur. Scheduled for 30 November, the workshop aims to introduce young aspirants to the fundamentals of theatre and short-film acting, including dialogue delivery, stage performance and character building.
Theatre practitioners from Ranchi and regional filmmakers have been specially invited to train participants and share their experience in stage and screen acting. National award-winning artist and Geeta Theatre president Geeta Kumari, along with secretary Prem Dixit, will lead the workshop.
Speaking to the media, Geeta Kumari said, “Talented youth participating in this workshop will receive quality training and the best performers may get an opportunity to represent Geeta Theatre at the upcoming All India Drama/Dance Festival.” She added that details regarding classes and registration are available on Geeta Theatre’s social media handle @TheatreOfGita or via WhatsApp at 7209441698.
The poster launch event was attended by Film Board member Raju Mitra, JFTTA president Dr. Tazdar Alam, youth social worker Inderjeet Singh, Chanchal Bhatia, Dr. Tahir Hussain, Tushar Karan, Himanshu and Abhishek.
