Jamshedpur, August 30: After being appointed working president of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda was given a rousing welcome at many places on reaching Jamshedpur on Monday. Geeta Koda, along with her husband, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda received tremendous ovation from party members at a welcome organized near the Sakchi Jubilee Park gate. The Koda couple accepted the accolades. They were presented flower garlands, bouquets and shawls amidst the beat of drums and party slogans. The Congress party members led by senior leader Kamal Kishor Agrawal and OBC Kolhan in-charge Dharmendra Sonkar raised slogans in salutation to the Congress party, national president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, RPN Singh, Dr Ajoy Kumar, Banna Gupta, Rajesh Thakur and Geeta Koda. The workers had flags and banners in their hands. OBC Congress Mahanagar President Surendra Sharma was also present on the occasion.
