Jamshedpur, March 26: Popular cinematographer Gautam Variya conducted a one day training camp in which 90 photographers participated. The camp was organized under the aegis of Jharkhand Photographic Association – Central in association with Photographers’ Association of Jamshedpur.
A mirrorless camera manufactured by Fuji Film was exhibited at the camp in which participating photographers expressed keen interest and asked several questions as compared to the SLR cameras. Variya provided detailed tips on the finer aspects of creating a frame, shot division, taking master shots and other technical angles involved in cinematography.
Fuji Film’s eastern head Rakesh Soni technical head and mentor Anindo Basu were also present and spoke on the latest innovative cameras from the Fuji stable. Among the organizers of the training camp were Photographers’ Association of Jamshedpur’s president Sumant Sharma, vice president Kamlesh Kumar, secretary Babulal, joint secretaries Paramjit Singh and Arun Nath, treasurers Somen Karmakar and Balram Sardar, executive members Shivshankar Gorai, Nitesh Kumar, Amit Pal and Ravi Kumar Sharma.
The special invitees to the camp comprised Photographic Association – Central’s president Bapi Ghoshal, advisor Mukesh Prasad, Bokaro’s Gabbar Bhai, Upendra, Umesh, Shrikant, Arzoo, Birju from Hazaribag, Ratan from Dhanbad, Central’s general secretary Abhimanyu Kumar, treasurer Rupesh Kumar and media in-charge Ashok Keshri.
