Ahmedabad/Jamshedpur (IANS): Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani visited Eastern India on Sunday to review major infrastructure projects totaling ₹43,000 crore. His visit highlights the group’s massive investment in the mineral-rich but historically underserved states of Jharkhand and Bihar.
Powering Progress in Jharkhand and Bihar
In Jharkhand, Adani inspected the ₹16,000 crore ultra-supercritical thermal power plant in Godda. This 1,600 MW facility exclusively supplies electricity to Bangladesh, boosting regional rail connectivity and creating thousands of jobs in tribal-dominated areas.
Moving to Bihar, the Chairman reviewed plans for a new ₹27,000 crore power project in Pirpainti, near Bhagalpur. Once completed in four to five years, this 2,400 MW plant will serve Bihar’s surging industrial and urban energy demands.
A “People-First” Approach
During his visit to the Godda plant, Adani engaged directly with engineers and frontline workers. He also met with local tribal women, emphasizing a “people-first” philosophy as the group expands its footprint as one of the largest private infrastructure investors in the region.
Spiritual Visit to Deoghar
Before his project reviews, Adani offered prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar. Sharing the experience on X (formerly Twitter), he described the visit as the fulfillment of a long-held wish and spoke about the concept of “Seva hi Sadhana Hai”—viewing service as a form of devotion.
