Noamundi, Jan 23: The 25th Sankalp conference of the Gour Samaj was held at Torotoppo foot ball ground in Noamundi on Saturday.
A large number of members from the Gour Samaj assembled at the event from different regions of the West Singhbhum and East Singhbhum districts.
The conference was supposed to be addressed by the Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, who was listed as the chief guest, but he failed to attend the program due to unavoidable circumstances.
On behalf of Das, Chaibasa BJP MP Laxaman Gilua addressed the Gour Samaj assembly. MLA Geeta Koda, who was the guest of honor, also did not attend the conference.
Gour Samaj members spoke on their issues and formed many committees to strengthen the unity of their samaj.
