Garib Kalyan Mela: Assets worth Rs 3-crores distributed to beneficiaries

18 projects worth Rs 8.9 crore launched

Jamshedpur, Sept. 20 : East Singhbhumdistrict administration on Wednesday organised Garib Kalyan Mela at Birsa Munda Town Hall in Sidhgora as part of 1000 days celebration of Raghubar Das government.

The chief guest State HRD minister NeeraYadav distributed assets (cheque) of Rs 3-crores to beneficiaries of government schemes and launched 18 projects worth Rs 8.9 crore in different parts of the district. An exhibition was put up by various government department outside the hall.

Addressing the gathering,Yadavsaid that government proper monitoring of implementation of welfare schemes is very important. �We want to ensure that people at grass root level reap benefits of schemes. The government under the leadership of Chief Minister Raghubar Das is focused on developing each village and for which each government department�s welfare measures should reach the desired beneficiary. Directives have been issued for constitution of committees at gram sabha and gram panchayat level for respective departments,� noted Yadav.

She said that the committees are being constituted to monitor the implementation of the welfare schemes. The committees will be formed for agriculture, drinking water and sanitation (including toilet construction), education, road construction etc.
She promised to defeat forces working against development of the state and requested cooperation from all section of people in creating a state free of fear and corruption.

DC Amit Kumar said the representatives of panchayats where the school dropout rate was zero were felicitated. Certificates and shawls were given to the representatives of such panchayats, he said.

�The administration has distributed LPG gas stove among beneficiaries of the UjjwalaYojana while farmers were provided with soil health card. The government also distributed fish credit cards among farmers and crop insurance benefit would be distributed among beneficiaries�. added Kumar. The DC said the beneficiaries were also provided loan through Standup India and Mudra Loan.
