Garba and Dandiya Night in Jamshedpur evokes huge response

Jamshedpur, Oct 13: Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) Steel City branch’s women’s wing, Surabhi, organized a pulsating and colourful, Garba and Dandiya Night at the Ramgarhia Sabha in Sakchi on Friday, October 13.

The entire atmosphere turned excitingly festive as hundreds of visitors swayed and jived to the dance and music bonanza dished out at the Garba and Dandiya Night bonanza.

The event was a lively celebration of traditional Garba and Dandiya Raas, with hundreds of people dancing together to the vibrant beats of both Bollywood and Garba songs, creating an electrifying atmosphere. The event featured star performers Pooja Paul and DJ Amit, and also included solo, duet, and group dance performances. Additionally, there was a ‘Best Dressed’ competition for children, as well as various surprise gifts that added to the excitement of the night.

The evening began with the traditional lighting of lamps and a Ganesh Vandana, setting a culturally rich and auspicious tone for the festivities. The event was expertly organized under the leadership of Nisha Singhal, the branch president, Jyoti Agrawal, the treasurer, and event coordinators Pinky Ringasia and Anju Chetani.

Several women who attended the event expressed their pride in organizing such events in Jamshedpur, following the traditions of Gujarat and Maharashtra. They believed that such events played a significant role in preserving the cultural identity and heritage while acting as a guiding light for future generations.
