Gangster’s Aide Nabbed with Pistol in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: MGM Police have arrested Swaraj Gagarai, a resident of Hill View Colony, for carrying a pistol with the intention of committing murder on the instructions of notorious criminal Ganesh Singh. The police apprehended Gagarai near a bar located near Dimna Chowk, where they also recovered a 7.65 bore pistol, a bullet and a car (JH 05BU-4732) from him.

Rural SP Rishabh Garg revealed the details of the case on Saturday, confirming that Gagarai is an active member of Ganesh Singh’s gang. The accused was roaming in the car with plans to kill someone, following direct orders from Ganesh Singh. During questioning, Gagarai admitted that he had received the pistol and bullets from Ganesh and had been instructed to shoot any enemy he encountered.

The SP further noted that this was not Gagarai’s first brush with the law. He has previously been jailed three times, with several cases, including violations of the Arms Act, filed against him at various city police stations.

In connection with the case, MGM police have also filed charges against Ganesh Singh. The case was registered on the statement of MGM police station in-charge Ram Babu Mandal.
