DJ ban in Gamharia on Holi, strict action against troublemakers

Gamharia: A complete ban on DJs will remain in force during Holi celebrations in Gamharia, police announced at a peace committee meeting held at the police station premises. Chairing the meeting, Station In-Charge Ramchandra Rajak said, “Hooliganism will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against anyone creating disturbance or spreading rumours.”

He appealed to residents to celebrate the festival peacefully and maintain communal harmony. Rajak added that magistrates, along with police forces, would be deployed and regular patrolling conducted to ensure law and order. Participants at the meeting also offered suggestions to maintain peace, which the police assured would be implemented. Several local representatives and officials were present.
