Galudih Barrage Dam gates opened, river swell

Jamshedpur, August 2: Due to continuous rains for three days, the water level of Galudih Barrage Dam has increased. Four gates of the dam have been opened on Wednesday.

After the opening of the gate, the water level of Subarnarekha river has started rising. People living on the banks of the river are quite scared. In view of the increasing water level of Subarnarekha river, the administration has started making alternative arrangements for the people living in the coastal area of the river.

In view of the increasing water level of the river, the administration has appealed to the people not to go to the bank of the river and inform the administration immediately in case of any problem. It is being speculated that if it continues to rain like this, more gates of the dam can be opened. The water level of the dam has reached near the danger mark.
