Jamshedpur: Defending champions Gabru-Mango and Super Kings-Tinplate have secured their spots in the final of the second edition of the Cricket League for Sikhs (CLS), which will be played on Wednesday. Both teams clinched victories in their respective semi-final matches held on Tuesday at the Cooperative College Ground in Bistupur. The CLS-2 tennis cricket tournament is being organized by the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC).

In the first semi-final, Super Kings-Tinplate edged out Singh XI-Jamshedpur by nine runs. Star batsman Rajveer Singh delivered a match-winning performance, scoring 58 runs and earning the Man of the Match title. Bowler Jagraj Singh also played a crucial role in restricting the opposition’s run chase with his disciplined bowling.

In the second semi-final, Gabru-Mango defeated Khalsa XI-Jugsalai by 26 runs. A solid partnership between Jagdeep Singh, who scored a quickfire 42, and Kamaljit Singh, who took four wickets, ensured an easy win for the defending champions. Jagdeep Singh was named Man of the Match for his impactful performance.
The matches were officiated by Lalu Prasad Yadav and the popular “dancing umpire” Sunny Taibu, while Deepak Yadav served as the scorer.
Several dignitaries attended the event on the second day of the tournament, including CGPC President Sardar Bhagwan Singh, General Secretary Amarjit Singh, Senior Vice President Chanchal Singh, and Stree Satsang Sabha President Bibi Ravinder Kaur. Also present were Jaswant Singh Jasso, Paramjit Singh Kale, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Sarabjit Singh Grewal, Gursharan Singh, Jagtar Singh Nagi, Jaspal Singh Jasse, Hardeep Singh Chhania, Inder Singh Inder, and Surjit Singh. They encouraged the players by presenting Man of the Match awards and boosting team morale.
