Jamshedpur, Apr 23: The much-awaited Fun World Disneyland fair opened at the Ambagan Ground in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, with a grand inauguration by Traffic DSP Neeraj Mishra and Sakchi Police Station In-charge Anand Kumar Mishra. The ceremony began with a two-minute silence in tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam incident.
Organized annually, Fun World continues to delight both children and adults with its vibrant entertainment offerings. This year, a special highlight is the replica of the Singapore Airlines aircraft entry gate, expected to draw large crowds.
Chandrashekhar Parvat, the event’s organizer, announced that major attractions include the Tsunami ride, Revolving Chair swing and a glimpse of “Mini India” through regional attire and handicrafts. Besides rides like Tora Tora, the fair showcases handmade products from skilled unemployed artisans, offering them a vital source of livelihood.
Visitors can shop for cotton garments, furniture and ethnic wear, while also enjoying a variety of snacks and delicacies. The fair not only entertains but also promotes employment and cultural unity, making it a cherished summer destination for Jamshedpur and neighbouring areas.
