Jamshedpur: BR Charitable Medical Trust organized a checkup camp at Hindu Kushth Ashram in Burmamines on the occasion of Anti Leprosy Day. Dr Rajiv Thakur conducted the checks.
The medic informed the patients about the medicines administered to them. Medicines, fruits and sweets were distributed among the Ashram residents.
January 30 is observed as Anti Leprosy Day. It was the dream of Mahatma Gandhi that India be free of leprosy.
It may be mentioned here that Dr Rajiv Thakur�s father, late Dr RP Thakur, a renowned skin specialist, used to visit the Hindu Kushth Ashram regularly to conduct free treatment and distribute medicines and fruits during every visit. His son, Dr Rajiv Thakur is continuing the tradition set by his famous father.
