Seraikela, May 21: Four persons including a minor boy were injured when a car overturned near Kankda More in Seraikela on Saturday.
The victims were identified as Dulal Chandra Pramanik (63), Raju (40), Arpita Pramanik (30) and Chinmaya (3). They were taken to Sadar Hospital, Seraikela, where the condition of the first three was reportedly serious. The child sustained only minor injuries, sources said.
According to police, the incident occurred around 2 pm when Dulal Chandra, a resident of Saldih Basti, Adityapur, was returning from Kharsawan with his daughter-in-law Arpita and grandson Chinmaya in a car. The car fell into a ditch after its driver, Raju, lost control on the wheels in a bid to avoid ramming into a speeding bike coming in opposite direction.
