Jamshedpur, March 5: The district administration has imposed temporary traffic restrictions in the city in view of the Founder’s Day celebrations, prohibiting the entry of all heavy vehicles on Friday, March 6.
According to an official order, the no-entry regulation for heavy vehicles will remain in force from 3 pm to midnight. However, bus services will continue to operate as usual to ensure minimal inconvenience to commuters. Normal traffic movement will resume after the restrictions are lifted at midnight.
The directive has been jointly issued by Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey, and Traffic DSP Neeraj Kumar.
Notably , similar traffic curbs were enforced earlier from March 3 to 5 during the Founder’s Day and Holi celebrations, when heavy vehicles were barred from entering the city.
Meanwhile, residents will be able to witness elaborate decorative lighting across Jamshedpur until March 6 as part of the ongoing , Founder’s Day celebrations
