Jamshedpur’s Sakchi Gurdwara to Host First Hola Mohalla Celebration on March 8

Jamshedpur: The Sakchi Gurudwara Management Committee will organize a grand one-day Hola Mohalla celebration for the first time on March 8 at the Gurdwara Sahib Sakchi campus. The programme will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the organisers have appealed to the Sangat to participate enthusiastically.

The event is being organised in collaboration with the Mata Sahib Kaur Gatka Academy and will feature sports competitions, quizzes and several surprise activities for participants. Entry to the programme will be free for all.

A meeting of the organising committee was held at the gurdwara to finalise the programme schedule. The meeting was chaired by committee president Nishan Singh and attended by general secretary Paramjit Singh Kale along with other members including Jasbir Singh Gandhi, Satnam Singh Ghuman, Trilochan Singh Tochi, Daljit Singh, Satpal Singh Raju, Manohar Singh Meete, Jitendra Singh Raja and Damanjit Singh Honey. A poster detailing the programme was also released during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Nishan Singh said that Hola Mohalla is not just a festival but a symbol of courage, service and valor in Sikh tradition. He said the aim of organising the event is to connect the younger generation with Sikh history and values.

Paramjit Singh Kale said the programme will help educate children and youth about Sikh traditions and the teachings of the Gurus. He added that participants will gain knowledge through quizzes and other activities. Langar will also be served during the event.
